Nazir Khara born in 1978 in Kabul, He Graduated from Music School after that he got his bachelor in Music, on Classical Music Training Center in India. later he worked with Music Education Department and the Union of Artists in Afghanistan.

In 1996 He Moved to Netherland up to 2006 later he came back to Afghanistan as Judge in Afghan Star in TOLO TV up to three years.

Nazir Khara creates carvings that build on his strong Inupiat tribal traditions as well as his interest in the changing world of today. In addition, Khara’s carving are in numerous private collections. In his work Khara often uses contemporary ideas combines with strong traditional technique.

As a subsistence hunter, he collects the materials for his work from the land and the sea. Khara now passes his knowledge by teaching in schools and taking on apprentices in his studio. He continues to explore new ways to share his cultural traditions. Khara lives in Kabul, Afghanistan with his family.
