Bashir Hamdard, son of Abdul Satar Hamdard, was born in kabul Afghanistan. Bashir’s family fled the country to Pakistan Islamabad in 1986. At this time, he visited the Abu Ali Sina School.
It was in Pakistan that he became interested in music. Initially experimenting with Flute, he learned the basics of this fundamental musical instrument and subsequently became familiar with harmonium. In 2000, Bashir and his family moved to Germany and settled in Frankfurt. At this time, he visited the Abu Ali Sina School.
With the release of the breakthrough Song Ay Padeshaye Khooban (2007), he became an overnight superstar. The song became hit single and was played on various TV and radio stations in Afghanistan with the Songs, NEGAR JAN (2008) and TANHA (2010), his fame finally ripened into maturity.
In 2007 his beautiful "Ay Padeshaye Khooban" song was awarded for the best song of the year. In 2010 he was awarded as the best Singer Of The Year, by the national afghan Television, Ariana TV for the Song "TANHA".
Bashir Hamdard grew up in a family that consisted of Six brothers (Khan, Ahmadshah, Mahboob, Farid, Samir and Bashir) and one Sister. Bashir is being the youngest of them all. His brothers Farid and Samir are also Singers.
